FREE LUNCH!!!

A neighbor just made my day! She told me about this program that the county school district has where it offers a FREE lunch to kids Monday through Friday! And this isn't a peanut butter and jelly lunch, it's a HOT lunch with a fruit, vegetable, dessert and milk!!! This summer I never have to make lunch for my kids!!! So we went to the park where it's held, it's from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. We walk up and the lady tells my kids to choose a milk, either chocolate or regular. Of course they all pick chocolate. Then she grabs a lunch sack which already has a plum, cut up carrots and cookies. Then she puts in a hot pizza pocket thing. We sat down at a bench and the kids ate their free lunch! It's only for kids, there's even a sign that says "Parents, please do not eat off your childs lunch"! The kids are so excited they can't wait to go back again tomorrow to see what lunch they get. I guess they are sick of my peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and macaroni and cheese! After they ate they played on the playground for a bit then we went to the community center pool, (which I still have to get a water camera and take pictures there). After that it was another evening of the kids sliding down the grass hill on a big flat box they found. We are having way too much fun!!!
