Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow!!!

So the pictures below.... NOTHING compared to how it got later that day. Those pictures were taken in the morning and yesterday it kept coming down and coming down not stoping! It would be light, then very heavy. We went to church and then when we got out 3 hour later the van was covered in snow! Sunday night we had a family Christmas party about 1/2 hour away and we drove so slow since the roads were just pure ice. When we got home, (for those that have not been here, you have to come down this pretty steep hill to get into the driveway), anyway, as we were coming down the pretty steep hill all the sudden we had no control of the van and we were going very slow, there was nothing we could do... we kept going, sliding down the hill and passing the driveway. Luckily no other cars were around us and we just kept going down the road until Matt felt he had control of the van again, then we turned around and went home.

As soon as Alisa got home she said she did the same thing... sliding down the hill and she ended up crashing into the curb! We watched out the window to see many other cars doing the same thing... sliding down the hill and passing the driveway to the parking lot. It was pretty scary and could have been worse.

So we have probably about 3 feet of snow now, and it's just beautiful!!!! I'm soooo glad I don't have anywhere to go today and don't have to be driving in it!!
