Happy Days of 47!

Days of 47 is a state wide holiday. It's when the state of Utah celebrates the Pioneers settling here. There's a huge parade, fireworks sold on every corner just like the 4th and tons and tons of activities. From what I've seen so far, it's almost bigger than the 4th of July!

We started our morning going to my Aunt Cheri's church building for a huge outdoor breakfast. (Free of course). We had eggs, pancakes, sausage, fruit, hashbrowns, oatmeal, and juice. It was great. It was outside and the weather was perfect, not really hot yet. There were tons of games for the kids to play and they had a dunking booth which the kids thought was so fun. Sydney even dunked someone on the first try!!!! Here are the pictures from the breakfast... yes the kids are eating candy... LOL, it was from the little fishing game, they kept going back and back again to get more candy. Great breakfast huh!!!

later today we'll go to this park in downtown Salt Lake where all the floats from the big parade will be on display and there will be rides and booths and tons of stuff to do. So... check back, more pictures to come!
